DUNWOODY, Ga. -- A former Atlanta Falcons coach is scheduled to speak at Dunwoody United Methodist Church next week.

Dan Reeves' appearance is part of the church's Men's Group Christian Leaders Speaker Series. He will visit DUMC on Thursday, Oct. 20.

The day will begin with a breakfast at 6:30 a.m., followed by Reeves' talk at 7 a.m. Admission is $5.

After playing for the Dallas Cowboys, Reeves spent 23 years as an NFL coach. He was named NFL Coach of the Year in 1998, the same year he led the Falcons to Super Bowl XXXIII, where they ultimately lost to the Denver Broncos -- a team Reeves used to coach. In fact, Reeves has played or coached in a record nine Super Bowl games.

A native of Rome, Reeves now lives in the Atlanta area. He and Pam, his wife of 46 years, have three children and six grandchildren.

Dunwoody United Methodist Church is located at 1548 Mt. Vernon Road.
