ATLANTA -- Atlanta’s favorite neighborhood restaurant, Marlow’s Tavern, is unveiling new menu items to warm and excite locals and guests around the city during the cold winter months. The menu is available at all Atlanta-area locations, featuring the best seasonal offerings and a mix of familiar favorites with a chef’s twist.

“With colder weather on the way, we like to create our own version of comfort foods with the freshest seasonal ingredients,” says Executive Chef/Co-founder John C. Metz. “The wintertime additions are full of savory, hearty ingredients that are unique, crave-able and satisfying,” he adds.

The new winter menu offers a range of options to satisfy any diner’s taste buds. The fresh, seasonal fare offered includes the following:

·         Goat Cheese “French Toast” – Challah bread stuffed with savory goat cheese and red pepper, battered and served crisp with wild mushroom and sweet herb cream ($9)

·         “Stuffed” Turkey Burger – Golden Legacy organic ground turkey stuffed and grilled with creamy goat cheese, sweet and spicy red pepper relish on a toasted wheat roll ($10)

·         Grilled Chicken Paillard – Prestige Farms chicken breast, hand-cut pappardelle pasta, asparagus, Roma tomato, caramelized onion, wild mushroom cream and shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano ($14)

·         Grilled Turkey Meatloaf – Golden Legacy organic turkey, sweet thyme with shaved Brussels sprouts, onion confit, carrot, dried cranberry, parmesan farro and crispy onions   ($15)

·         Crispy Carolina Trout – sautéed spinach, shaved Brussels sprouts, garlic, shallots, apple wood smoked bacon and Pommery mustard cream sauce ($17)

·         Pecan and Apple Turnover – flakey pastry stuffed with pecan, apple and toffee served warm with hand-dipped vanilla ice cream ($6)

Metz and Marlow’s Tavern are also stirring up some soon-to-be classic craft cocktails, incorporating hints of inspiration from local mixologists as well as some great seasonal ingredients to enhance the already extensive beverage menu. Flavorful splashes and spices of the season in these adult beverages are sure to take the chill off:

·         Blackthorn Suppressor – Byrrh aperitif, jasmine liqueur, soda and fresh lime ($9)

·         Blueberry Buck 3.0 – Hanger Blueberry, fresh lime, house-made simple syrup and shaved nutmeg ($9)

·         Classic Martinez – Hayman’s Old Tom gin, Cocchi Vermouth di Torino, Leopold Brother’s maraschino, Bittercube orange bitters and fresh lemon ($10)

·         St. George Gin Sour – St. George Botanivore gin, Rothman & Winter peach liqueur, Cardamaro, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, Fee Brothers Aromatic Bitters and club soda ($11)

·         Orchard Manhattan – Riverboat Rye whiskey, Rothman & Winter pear liqueur, Arehucas Ron Miel, Bar Keep Baked Apple Bitters and lemon ($10)

·         Saintsbury Chardonnay Carneros, 2010 ($12.50/$50)

·         Left Coast Cellars Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, 2011 ($12/$48)

In addition to the company’s commitment to satisfying guests, Sterling Hospitality (the parent company of Marlow’s Tavern and Sterling Spoon Culinary Management) has been committed to community service since the opening of its first restaurant in 1997. Sterling’s partnership with Special Olympics Georgia (SOGA) has helped raise over $463,000 for the non-profit organization through various restaurant events and the extremely successful Marlow’s Tavern Golf Classic.
