Police say Gayla Walker acted erratically before being struck
DUNWOODY, GA (WXIA) -- Just a little over an hour before Gayla Joyce Walker was struck and killed on I-285 on January 22, police say she was at an Exxon Gas station on Ashford Dunwoody Road near Perimeter Mall.
The manager called police at 5:08 a.m. saying Walker was acting erratically inside the adjacent convenience store. "She made some statements someone had stolen her money and passport but the officer found no factual basis," said Dunwoody Police Spokesman Tim Fecht.
