Young Thug faces more charges after arrest

DUNWOODY, Ga. -- An Atlanta rapper faces additional charges after being arrested by U.S. Marshals on an outstanding warrant for making terroristic threats.

Jeffery Lamar Williams, who goes by Young Thug, was taken into custody at around 6 a.m. Wednesday in Sandy Springs.

Williams, 23, made the threats July 7 during an argument with a security official at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody. The rapper threatened to shoot the victim in the face, according to a warrant filed in DeKalb County.

The warrant says Williams was asked to leave the mall. He made the threat while being escorted from the building.

Thursday, Sandy Springs Police announced it had obtained a search warrant for the house where Williams was arrested. After executing the warrant, multiple additional felony arrest warrants, including drug and weapons charges, were issued for the rapper.

Williams is being held in the DeKalb County Jail.
