Dunwoody Police officers help baby
News

DUNWOODY, Ga. – Two Dunwoody Police officers are being applauded for going beyond the call of duty and caring for an infant.

After officers arrested the child's mother, she refused to give police the name of a family member who could pick up the baby girl.

The officers had to call DFCS. While they waited, maternal instincts kicked in and the two officers cared for the girl. They changed her diaper, fed her and entertained her for several hours.

The photo has received more than 1,300 likes since being posted on the department's Facebook page.
