DUNWOODY: Vanderlyn Elementary to help tornado victims | Education

DUNWOODY, Ga. -- Students and parents at Vanderlyn Elementary School in Dunwoody will raise money this week to help students at two schools in Ringgold that were devastated by a tornado two weeks ago.

"The Vanderlyn family can help get these schools back up and running," said parent Julie Cole. "These student's lives and school days have been turned upside down."

Students can take envelopes to school labeled "Tornado Relief" with monetary donations throughout the week.

Parent volunteers will also accept donations at the school's Spring Social on Friday night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Dunwoody High School Track.
