Random Acts of Kindness: Kris Chandler

Random Acts of Kindness: Kris Chandler

DUNWOODY, Ga. -- Today's random act of kindness is for Kris Chandler. Kris works in the Life and Earth Sciences department at Georgia Perimeter College in Dunwoody.

He is always smiling and going the extra mile to help the students and faculty he works with. Often times he gets to work early and stays late just to make sure he can take care of everyone.  He is cherished by his department, who decided to nominate Kris for a random act of kindness.

One of Kris' favorite hobbies is cooking. He is always talking about new recipes and foods he is trying, so 11Alive wanted to give Kris something that would make his hobby more fun and easy.

ATLANTA -- Today's Random Act of Kindness is for a truly amazing woman who touches everyone around her.

Stephanie Shapiro works at the National MS Society, helping families and individuals with mitochondrial disease. In addition to helping others, Stephanie also cares for both of her children, who also have this disease.

She is constantly smiling, despite all the challenges she faces each day. Thanks to a tip from her boss, 11Alive was able to show Stephanie a random act of kindness.
