Hosea Feed the Hungry estimates it will feed 10,000 families during its MLK Day meal, which began at 10 a.m. at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park.

More than 3,000 people rolled up their sleeves to serve with Hands On Atlanta, beautifying such areas as City of Refuge and Chastain Memorial Park.

Georgia Power employees spent the day volunteering at Lutheran Towers, a housing development for seniors in Midtown Atlanta. They also assembled, labeled and distributed collection boxes at Rockdale Emergency Relief in Conyers.

Random Acts of Kindness: Kim and Matt Snyder

Random Acts of Kindness: Kim and Matt Snyder

DUNWOODY, Ga. -- Today's random act of kindness is for the Snyder family.

Kimberly and Matt are the parents of three beautiful children, who just happen to be triplets. Their triplets were born when Kim was only 25 weeks pregnant. After they were born, the babies spent 5 months in the NICU and had several surgeries as well.

Now, over a year and a half down the road, their children are happy, healthy, and doing great. The Snyders are loved by their community and constantly doing all that they can to help others.

In return, the community wanted to help them. So thanks to a generous donation from Brittany Maids, 11Alive was able to surprise the Snyder family with a random act of kindness.
